Project Completed: A Beautiful Online Home for Oan ’e Luts Art & Brocante!

After three weeks of hard work, intensive creativity, and a lot of fun, the moment has arrived: the brand-new website for Oan ’e Luts Art & Brocante from Balk is completed. And the site running now for weeks. We look back on a fantastic project and are incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a team, including our developers in India!

What Features Does the New Platform Offer?

Oan ’e Luts is renowned for its beautiful selection of French brocante, unique curiosities, and regional art. We have translated that charming atmosphere of discovery into a modern, secure, and highly functional digital platform that is, of course, fully mobile-responsive.

The site boasts several fantastic features:

• Consistent Product Presentation via Specification Templates: To provide visitors with a clean, professional, and consistent browsing experience, we developed a smart template system. This ensures all product characteristics and specifications are always presented in the exact same, structured layout. This a catalog not a store, showcasing new products and a selected number of products for sale, including those of  local artist presenting in the physical store in Balk.
• Mobile optimization to have information called by visitor on demand, reducing scrolling and pick what seems interesting.
• Easy Media Integration (Galleries, Video & Audio): Atmosphere is everything when it comes to art and brocante. The system makes it incredibly simple to create and insert photo galleries wherever needed. In addition, video and audio clips can be seamlessly embedded to bring the items to life.
• Dedicated Artist Pages: Local artists now have their own spotlight on the site. These pages are fully designed as digital 'business cards' to introduce their background and showcase their unique artwork.
• Highlighting Custom Ceramics: A special, prominent section has been created specifically for the unique handmade ceramics crafted by Wijnanda herself.
• Gaasterland/Balk Events Agenda: A dynamic calendar environment that neatly displays all upcoming art, culture, and brocante events in the beautiful Gaasterland region.
• Smart E-Business Links: The platform seamlessly connects products in the shop to background articles and blogs, allowing the story behind an antique piece to directly enrich the online visitor experience. Including Newsletters, emailing, blog comments and more. Callouts for get the attention of our visitor, like New Arrivals, Spotlighting products and Artists.
• Aside the platform, security, functionality etc is all part of a hardend platform for the client, hosted professionally with 95% uptime.

Simple Management & Client Instruction

As far as we are concerned, the technical, look-and-feel and functional realization is complete, and the foundation is rock solid. The backend of the website is built so efficiently that adding new items is an absolute breeze. Thanks to the predefined specification templates, the client only needs to fill in the required fields to get an item consistently and beautifully listed online. All of it designed and implemented to maintain with ease.

In the coming days, we will thoroughly instruct and train the client, ensuring they can completely and independently manage product uploads, insert rich media (like photo galleries, audio and videos), update the event calendar, and write engaging blog posts. Naturally we stand-by to help out.
