Activities in the Deploy stage make the target functionality of the operational project available to the client. In some cases, activities in this stage pilot-test that functionality in the operational context.
This stage involves activity such as
Transferring the application repository to the production server, Installing the application on the staging and production servers, and transferring the content management process to the client
Publishing any application components for reuse, and transferring site application knowledge to the client
Determining whether the application works as intended, with acceptable performance
Monitoring that application is used and how it is used
Determining any planned work to be postponed to a later release, and obtaining client acceptance.
